LOL So I already got a helpful tip- actually it's the same tip I got on Friday - so I guess 2 people telling me means I ought to do it.
I found a running club in my area! I really didn't think there were any. For those of you that are part of them what do you think? Is this a good one? It's the Youngstown Road Runners Club.
I worry because I still walk more than I run when I go out.
ok I'm going to bed. THANKS!!!

I adore my run club, and I've met some really great people from it too. It is a little hard, when you're new. I feel lucky, when I first contacted my run club, everyone was super nice, and there were two people who ran at my pokey pace. Now, there are still two people, but they show up sporadically, although, I'm confident enough in my running to run alone and just see the group at the beginning and end of my runs. If I were you, I would email the club and ask lots of questions about pace, etc. Some run clubs are a little more competitive than recreational, which is fine, but you may want to look for something recreational and fun to begin with.
When I was looking for a run club, everyone I contacted was running MUCH faster then me, until I found the one, low and behold, right in my hometown.
Read the book "Sole Sisters"...it inspired me regarding running, and finding a run club to meet close friends, etc. I love it. It's my fave gift to give my gal pals now.
The rest of my GF's are from a bible study group I attended years ago, and we've kept in touch...maybe call someone you haven't seen in ages and do coffee! Catch up! You seem like a really sweet person, you just need to get out of the house a little. =)
